Lorina Schrammel works in the HR department at Oklahoma State University alongside Evie, a shepard at the OSU therapy program, as they strive to be America’s healthiest campus. In her Tedx Talk, Lorinda discusses the importance of therapy dogs for emotional and physical health as they can help lower blood pressure, improve cardiovascular health, and even help with the feelings of loneliness and homesickness in students at the university. She also notes that students and faculty are often more comfortable and more likely to open up with the presence of a dog in the room.
