The Virginia Commonwealth University even took saliva samples from factory employees to see the stress hormone cortisol from the individuals and the results show that employees surrounded by dogs the whole day had lower stress levels in their saliva by the end of it. Also by petting a dog, you produce more hormone oxytocin,leaving you more relaxed and happy.
